1. What we collect
TopicNest does not ask for your name, email or phone number. When you open the app, an anonymous learner account is created automatically so your learning can be saved. We store: your selected class, preferred language, saved lessons, lesson progress (which sections you finished) and quiz scores.
2. Where data is stored
Learning data is stored in our cloud database and on your device. Each anonymous account can only read and change its own data, enforced by database access rules.
3. Local storage
The app uses your browser's local storage to keep progress, saved lessons, preferences and small display flags (for example, whether you have seen the swipe hint). This lets the app work offline and load faster. We do not use advertising cookies.
4. Videos and images
Lesson videos and images are delivered from a content delivery network. Those servers may receive standard technical information such as your IP address to deliver files.
5. Notifications
Push notifications are not active. The app does not request notification permission at this time.
6. Data retention
Data remains until you clear app storage or request deletion. [Owner to confirm: retention period for cloud data]
